The objective of “ Team Tornadoes Racing ” is to take our University’s young aspiring Engineers to push to their limits so that they can strengthen their minds to improvise the theoretical knowledge in our day to life.
Our Work - Tornadoes Racing
Team Tornadoes Racing is Sharda’s official Baja Racing team which participates in various SAE Events. It has an SAE Collegiate Club comprising of 19 members from all four years who volunteer their time and talents to conceive design, and build small scale ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle) for SAE events without any industrial help. Team Tornadoes is a group of Enthusiastic, Knowledgeable and Hard-Working engineering students of our University, who represent its institution for BAJA SAE.

We also represented our vehicles in Auto Expo 2016 and showcased it to a huge media exposure.

BAJA SAE
BAJA SAE is an intercollegiate design competition run by the Society of Automotive Engineers. All the teams compete with their new car in every static and dynamic event including the endurance race. Each event carries some points with endurance racing being the most important one. At the end of the events, the teams are ranked according to the points they scored.
The statics include sales presentation, cost audit and design presentation. In sales, we market our vehicle to the industry judges. In design, we present all the design approaches, research, and tests that we have conducted. During the technical inspection, the judges inspect every aspect of the vehicle and check if they meet the rules.
The dynamics include time trial events and endurance race. In time trial events our vehicle needs to pass the tests such as acceleration, sled pull, suspension, and traction. The final event is the most awaited event that is the endurance race which spans for four hours.
Enduro Student India
Enduro Student India is an off-road student design competition bred from the need to train engineering students on practical aspect of building something with their own hands and also train them on the science of team management. The Organizing committee prides themselves in being a mix of ex-participants and employees from top OEMs from varied engineering background out to teach the future of India about the need to build something with their own hands. Their motto is: Inspire to Aspire. They are out to imbibe the mantra of: Design, Build, Test, Break, Repeat among teams and will not stop until all the participants through the competition join in with this chant.
Mega ATV
Mega ATV Championship is a national level ATV (All terrain vehicles) racing championship in India organized by Autosports India. It is inter college national level racing championship for engineering students basically for mechanical/ automobile branches. This championship is well known for its extraordinary racing format, night endurance racing. Till date 4 seasons held and the third season to be held in March 2020. The championship started its first season in 2015 held in Bhubaneswar.
It is a four-day design, manufacturing, and racing competition. Where in day one the technical inspection of the vehicles to be done, and from day 2, the event starts which consists of drag race, flat dirt race, endurance race, armageddon race, black out race.
